Nottingham Trent University (NTU)’s origin can be dated back to the merger of several educational institutions. The Nottingham Government School of Design was established in 1843. This design school is still a part of the university. It was in 1992 that NTU received its current name and the status of a university. QS World University Ranking 2022 places the university at #800-1000 while Times Higher Education 2022 places the university at #501-600.
